Lucy Jane Santos
I am a historical and museums consultant, working in the field since 2001, and currently based in South-West London.
I have a BA in Egyptian Archaeology, a MA in Museum Management, a MRes in History and am currently doing postgraduate research on the topic of radioactive beauty products in the early twentieth century.
I have appeared as a contributor on TV, radio and podcasts and my historical research has been featured in a range of publications.
As part of The Historical Sauces I worked to provide educational services to heritage organisations and museums including demonstrations and reminiscence events. Previous clients include Away Resorts Holiday Parks, Norfolk Museums Service, Picturehouse Cinemas and Archant Regional newspapers.
I specialise in producing high quality, well-researched, accessible content aimed at a wide readership and currently produce two blogs
Curie-osities: curious tales from radioactive history
Glamourologist: history of beauty, fitness, leisure and ageing
I have worked for a number of museums, arts associations and cultural institutions providing a wide range of services including curatorial, events management and consultancy.
I am available for lectures, workshops, consultancy, and as a contributor for TV, radio, podcasts and print.
